The Eagle Bay Welcome Center is a historically motivated architectural design conceived and detailed in the spirit of the Adirondack tradition.
On the exterior, natural local materials are utilized and scaled to provide a memorable destination along the Tobie Trail.
The interior finishes are selected to be durable, easily maintainable, timeless and consistent with the architectural theme. Plumbing fixtures are piped and drained above the floor slab to prevent freeze-ups, heating is accomplished with a radiant slab, and electrical service is underground with provisions for connection of a portable emergency generator.
The facility is fully compliant with the NYS Building Construction Code, the Energy Conservation Construction Codes of NYS, as well as the Americans with Disabilities Act.
