Matthew Lacey, AIA, LEED AP BD+C Associate

Matt joined MARCH Associates in August 2015 after relocating to the Utica area from New York City. He brings with him five years of experience designing large scale and institutional projects such as museums, airports, university buildings, and US Embassies, while working at the engineering firm Arup and the architecture firm Davis Brody Bond. Throughout his career Matt has been significantly involved in the use of BIM software to enhance the design process and improve design team coordination. Since joining MARCH Matt has successfully completed projects at Mohawk Valley Community College and has been involved in the renovation of LEED Platinum Apartment Buildings in Utica's Johnson Park neighborhood.

Matt became LEED Accredited professional in 2012 and a Licensed Architect in 2017. He has contributed to the design of buildings aiming for LEED Gold certification as well as net-zero energy consumption targets.

Outside of the office Matt enjoys competing in local and national road races, and also exploring the Central New York region with his wife, son, and dog.
