Matthew Lacey, AIA, LEED AP BD+C Principal

Matt joined MARCH Associates in 2015 and became a Principal in 2021. In the roll of Project Architect Matt has enjoyed working on projects with a variety of clients including Oneida County, Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica College, Johnson Park Center, AAA, CABVI, and the Waterville Central School District.

Throughout his career Matt has been significantly involved in the use of BIM software to enhance the design process and improve design team coordination.

Prior to his time at MARCH, Matt has five years of experience designing large scale and institutional projects such as museums, airports, university buildings, and US Embassies, while working at the engineering firm Arup and the architecture firm Davis Brody Bond.

Matt became LEED Accredited professional in 2012 and a Licensed Architect in 2017.

Outside of the office Matt enjoys challenging himself by running through the snow and hills of the Mohawk Valley (look for him on Strava), and competing in local and national road races. Watch for him on the roads either trying to keep up with his wife, being pulled by his dog, or pushing his son or daughter in a jogging stroller.
